A Trip to Hendricks, WV

A couple months ago we took a spontaneous trip to Hendricks, WV, and even though it's a bit "middle of nowhere," we quite loved it.  Our airbnb was an adorable and stylish little place called Carriage House.

In the backyard up the hill was a really cool dilapidated old house

And just across the road was a park and a little swinging bridge over the river.

And we had this gross little mascot join us on our journey...

We ate at a delicious little place on the river called Fat Olives and the BEST PIZZA EVER.  And we went for a lovely hike in Blackwater Falls State Park.

Caught this pretty rainbow in the falls...

And this one little branch of a tree that's a little early, but as eager for fall as we are :)

And spent a rainy afternoon in Thomas, WV, where we ducked into quirky shops and galleries.

And had a yummy early dinner at Farm Up Table with tasty drinks.

I think another trip is in order...
